First 5 Permian Basin

First 5 hopes to improve health and education outcomes within the community through the implementation of three, FREE evidence-based home visiting programs: Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters (HIPPY), Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP), and Parents as Teachers (PAT). Each free program provides families with a personal educator, access to high-quality curriculum and lessons, parent and child screenings/assessments, and a diverse resource network to help all children in the community reach their fullest potential.

Services provided in English and Spanish.

Young and first-time mothers of children up to five years old. Pregnant mothers before 28th week of pregnancy.

No referral needed, but the process may be expedited with referral from a professional agency.

Various free events held throughout the year including a Kinder Camp designed to get students ready to enter school and the Annual Read and Roll event.

No fee for any services as well.
